About Us
As a local chapter of the National Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators we welcome all members of SCBWI and visitors to our site and our local meetings.
Our local chapter meets monthly on the third Wednesday of each month with no meeting usually scheduled in December.
Meetings begin at 7 p.m. and are held at the Upper Arlington Public Library, 2800 Tremont Road in Columbus Ohio. Ask at the library front desk for the number of our meeting room. We are usually in Meeting Room B on the lower level but this may vary.
Meetings usually consist of a business meeting, a guest speaker talking about some aspect of writing or illustrating, and then critiques of chapter member’s work. Please contact the meeting coordinator in advance to schedule a critique.
Our members also keep in touch via the COSCBWI Yahoo group.
We can chat, post events, look for critique partners and send news in between meetings.
